Peter Taylor

PeterT WebPeter is a Policy and Development consultant whose roles include the co-ordination of the CDAS network. Through this network he aims to draw wider attention to the way in which building stronger communities can help Scotland achieve the outcomes it aspires to in social justice and equality. His involvement in CLD came about gradually; he has much experience of studying and working in disadvantaged communities in Scotland, and this brought him into contact with CLD workers who shared his principles.

Peter joined the Standards Council because he thinks it will become a key factor in ensuring the profession withstands future pressures. He wants to see the Standards Council pull together the diverse strands of the profession so they can learn from one another, share best practice and recognise their shared values and principles. He also hopes that it will do so in a way that will influence others and help to spread good practice to other professions and to people in communities.
