Niamh Condren

Niamh CondrenNiamh is a Volunteer Development Worker with Venture Scotland, working with socially excluded young people and developing the VS mentoring programme. She has been working in the voluntary sector in Edinburgh in various guises since 2003, having spent 3 years previous to that teaching English as a foreign language in Japan. She studied Community Education as part of a work-place based post-graduate course, which she completed in 2008.

Niamh loves working in the voluntary sector and enjoys the challenge of maintaining solid core values and quality in an ever-changing and often complex environment. She believes that the strength of the Standards Council – like the CLD sector itself – is its rich mix of voices, ideas and experience; she enjoys the opportunity to be a part of that and to offer her perspective as a front-line practitioner.
