Jim Sweeney
Jim Sweeney is Chief Executive of YouthLink Scotland and a long standing believer in the power of CLD as a life changing process. He started out as a Youth and Community Worker, having experienced for himself the benefits of this work, and to this day still thinks it a privilege to work in the sector. He joined the Standards Council because he believes reflective practice and lifelong learning benefit our workforce and therefore the communities we serve.
Jim is a passionate advocate of CLD as a vocation, not just another job. He argues that belief in social and emotional capital, and in the abilities of individuals and communities to change their lives, underpins everything we do. Indeed, the unique processes and approaches we use are essential if the people and communities of Scotland are to achieve their potential.
