Janis McIntyre
Janis is a lecturer in Community Education at the University of Strathclyde. She joined the Standards Council so she could contribute to the future shape of Continuing Professional Development for CLD. Her role at Strathclyde includes CPD provision so she has the experience and expertise to help drive this forward.
Janis became involved in CLD through volunteering, leaving a job in administration when she realised that - wonderfully - she could pursue what she felt passionate about as a career. She hopes the Standards Council will secure greater recognition for CLD work from individuals, groups and other professions.
