Dave Beck
Dave is a lecturer in Community Development at the University of Glasgow. He joined the Standards Council because he wanted to ensure CLD stays true to its core values of social justice and empowerment. He passionately believes that all CLD work, including the work of the Standards Council, must genuinely engage with people and not be a top-down, prescriptive model.
Dave believes that, uniquely, CLD treats people as the experts in their own lives and trusts them to come up with solutions to the issues they face. He would like to see the approaches used by CLD inform all the services and spaces in our society
