Qualifications in CLD
Many people working in CLD start by volunteering their time, and some volunteer training courses are levelled to the
SCQF. If you are interested in developing your skills further, then there are a range of programmes at local and national level outlined below. The professional level qualification is at degree or post-graduate level.
This is a broad indication of what may be available, but each area offers different training opportunities and not all options will be available in all areas. Please contact either your
local CLD partnership or the CLD Standards Council for more details.
Procedures for entry and entry requirements are available from the individual training provider. Prospective students may wish to enquire about procedures for having any previous learning (either qualifications or experience) recognised, and whether this might contribute towards their chosen programme of study.
